The Deco Listo story begins right here in Cabo San Lucas, where we both, like many of you, made the incredible decision to live and invest in this vibrant corner of Mexico.
Like many of you who've made the move to Baja California Sur, we were captivated by the stunning sunsets, endless tacos, and laid-back lifestyle. But there was one unexpected hurdle – finding quality furniture at reasonable prices. Being nestled on this beautiful peninsula can feel a bit like living on an island, and sure enough, Cabo's selection wasn't quite what we were used to back in the U.S.
We have lived in Tokyo, France, the US, and now Mexico. We loved the bustling energy of Tokyo and the charm of Nice, France. However, we are captivated by Mexico's rich history, artisan culture, and the breathtaking landscapes of Los Cabos, so we sold our home in the US and made this paradise our home.
We love learning and experiencing new cultures. When we moved to Cabo, we expected the opportunity to fill our home with furniture and decor that would authentically reflect our new surroundings. What we ended up with was quite a bit of "big-box" furniture that, in just two years, was already showing wear and needed replacing.
That's where the spark ignited! We knew there had to be a better way, a way to bridge the gap between beautiful, well-made furniture and a convenient, hassle-free shopping experience. We envisioned an online marketplace showcasing the best of Mexican craftsmanship, supporting local businesses, and delivering furniture directly to your doorstep – all at fair prices.
As many experienced residents can attest, the challenge is not just in finding furniture, but the inconsistent quality and complexity found in shipping and logistics. The challenge is not just getting something from Guadalajara to Cabo, but quality control processes on both sides and last mile services. So, I hired a Chief Operating Officer (ha!, my hubby) who brings over 30 years of experience leading highly complex, multi-continent, international businesses, and driving revenue growth. He's successfully transformed companies of all sizes, from seed startups to a Fortune-6 giant.
My background is healthcare marketing, non-profit leadership, and digital marketing. Before moving to Cabo I was also a chaplain at the Travis County Jail in Austin, Texas, helping incarcerated women establish a new start to life - difficult work, the smallest paycheck imaginable, but so rewarding!
Ok, not what I thought I was signing up for, but we spent months researching and negotiating with logistics companies and other partners interested in helping us create an effective logistics network and achieve a common goal.

We hear this frequently and have experienced it with our own properties as well. In Cabo, timing changes are normal, which makes buying from multiple suppliers a nightmare. That’s why we built a managed supply chain from manufacturer, to warehouse, to final setup. We partner with trusted manufacturers in Mexico who we know personally, store everything locally (including in our Cabo facility), and coordinate one smooth delivery when your home is truly ready.
Great question and one we’ve wrestled with as condo owners ourselves. Developer packages save time, but selection is usually limited to a few preset looks. Our Smart Bundles keep the convenience but let you choose from dozens of fabrics, furniture styles, and outdoor pieces. We work with top Mexican manufacturers, personally visiting their facilities and hand-selecting pieces. That means your home gets authentic Cabo style, premium quality, and a look that’s uniquely yours.
We are rental condo owners ourselves and know the challenge personally. The Cabo rental market is competitive. The key to standing out is creating a memorable experience, not just a place to sleep. We often help clients add statement pieces like king beds with dramatic extended headboards, large handmade parota wall mirrors, oil paintings, or colorful textile art that photograph beautifully and make listings pop. Because we personally source from Mexican artisans and manufacturers, we can help you achieve a unique, high-quality look that guests remember and review positively.
Cabo is a bit like an island. It’s a two days’ drive from San Diego, a 17-hour ferry ride from mainland Mexico, and with limited air freight options. Shipping costs are high, and returns, repairs, and maintaining local inventory are all more challenging.
For years, the easiest answer was to bring in container loads from the U.S. or Asia. That kept costs predictable for sellers, but it meant limited variety and homes that didn’t reflect Mexico’s unique style.
We started Deco Listo to change that. We’ve spent years building a supply chain that sources from top Mexican manufacturers, bringing quality, style, and fair pricing to Los Cabos without sacrificing the local character that makes your home feel truly here.
Yes. In fact, most of our clients aren’t here during the process. We live and work right here in Cabo and built Deco Listo to be completely turn-key for remote owners, from sourcing and ordering to warehousing, delivery, and setup.
We coordinate directly with your developer, property manager, or realtor to work around construction delays, schedule access, and manage all logistics. We meet with you via video calls, you’ll get regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see progress without leaving home. When you do arrive, your space is furnished, styled, and ready to enjoy.
